Product Support & Warranty Information

Warranty Policy

Important information about warranty coverage, product defects, warranty claims and the responsibilities associated with machinery parts, components and equipment purchased from Ranmar Tractor Supply.

Understanding Product Warranty Coverage

At Ranmar Tractor Supply, we understand that customers purchasing tractor parts, machinery components, attachments and other equipment need clear information about product support and applicable warranty coverage.

Because products may differ by manufacturer, condition, age, source and product type, warranty coverage is not necessarily identical across all products sold by Ranmar Tractor Supply.

This Warranty Policy explains our general approach to warranty claims and should be read together with any warranty information specifically provided with or for the product purchased.

1. General Warranty Information

Warranty coverage, where applicable, depends on the individual product and the warranty terms associated with that product or transaction.

Customers should not assume that every product sold by Ranmar Tractor Supply has the same warranty duration, scope or remedy.

Relevant factors may include:

  • The type of product;
  • The condition in which the product was sold;
  • The applicable product listing or quotation;
  • Any warranty information supplied with the product;
  • Any applicable manufacturer warranty;
  • Any expressly stated seller warranty; and
  • The nature and cause of the reported problem.
Important: The purchase of a product does not automatically create a particular warranty period unless that warranty is stated or otherwise applies to the transaction.

2. Product-Specific Warranty Terms

Where a product has specific warranty terms, those terms should be reviewed together with this general Warranty Policy.

Product-specific terms may identify:

  • Whether warranty coverage applies;
  • The duration of coverage;
  • The type of defect or failure covered;
  • Any applicable exclusions;
  • Required claim documentation; and
  • The remedies available for an approved claim.

If you are uncertain about warranty coverage for a product you are considering, contact Ranmar Tractor Supply before purchasing.

3. New Products

Some products may be sold as new. Warranty coverage for a new product, where applicable, depends on the terms associated with the individual item.

The fact that an item is described as new should not by itself be interpreted as a promise of a particular warranty duration.

Customers should review any available warranty information for the specific product.

4. New Surplus Products

New surplus products may be unused inventory originating from surplus, excess, older or discontinued stock.

Because surplus inventory may differ in age and sourcing history, warranty coverage may differ from that associated with ordinary current-production retail inventory.

Customers should therefore review the warranty information applicable to the specific surplus product rather than assuming that an original manufacturer warranty remains available.

For more information about surplus condition, please review our Product Condition Policy .

5. Used & Pre-Owned Products

Used and pre-owned products have previously been owned, installed or operated.

Any warranty coverage applicable to a used product depends on the terms under which that specific product is sold.

Customers should not assume that a used product carries the same warranty as a comparable new product.

Normal cosmetic characteristics or prior-use characteristics accurately disclosed for a used product are not, by themselves, product defects.

6. Refurbished, Reconditioned & Rebuilt Products

Certain products may be offered as refurbished, reconditioned or rebuilt.

Any warranty applicable to such a product depends on the specific warranty information associated with that item.

The term “refurbished,” “reconditioned” or “rebuilt” should not automatically be interpreted as providing the same warranty coverage as a factory-new product.

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products may be subject to warranty terms provided by their manufacturer where such coverage applies.

A manufacturer warranty is governed by the manufacturer's own terms, eligibility requirements, exclusions and claim procedures.

Where manufacturer warranty information applies to a particular product, customers may be required to follow the manufacturer's applicable warranty process.

Manufacturer references: The use of a manufacturer's name, equipment model or part number on our website does not by itself mean that Ranmar Tractor Supply is an authorized dealer or representative of that manufacturer.

Please review our Product Authenticity Policy for additional information.

8. What May Constitute a Warranty Concern?

A potential warranty concern generally involves an alleged product defect or failure that may fall within the applicable warranty terms.

Examples of information relevant to reviewing a potential warranty issue can include:

  • The nature of the reported failure;
  • When the problem occurred;
  • How the product was installed;
  • The equipment in which the product was used;
  • The product's operating application;
  • Product identification information;
  • Visible physical condition; and
  • Any relevant warranty documentation.

A reported product problem does not automatically mean that the issue qualifies for warranty coverage. The circumstances must first be reviewed.

9. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe a product has developed an issue covered by an applicable warranty, contact Ranmar Tractor Supply promptly.

Please provide:

  • Your full name;
  • Your order number or proof of purchase;
  • The product name or part number;
  • The equipment make and model where relevant;
  • The equipment serial number where relevant;
  • A clear description of the reported problem;
  • Information about installation and use where relevant;
  • Photographs or video where reasonably useful; and
  • Any other information reasonably requested to review the claim.

Providing complete information can help avoid unnecessary delays during the initial review.

Warranty Claim Process

1

Contact Us

Provide your order number and identify the product experiencing the problem.

2

Describe the Issue

Explain the problem and provide supporting information or images where relevant.

3

Claim Review

The available product, order and warranty information is reviewed.

4

Next Steps

If the claim qualifies, the appropriate warranty process or remedy will be communicated.

10. Proof of Purchase

Proof of purchase may be required to review a warranty claim.

Acceptable order identification may include the applicable Ranmar Tractor Supply order number, invoice, receipt or other reasonable transaction record.

Customers should retain their purchase documentation after receiving an order.

11. Product Identification

Warranty review may require confirmation that the product presented for a claim corresponds with the product originally purchased.

Customers should retain identifying information where applicable, including:

  • Part numbers;
  • Serial numbers;
  • Product labels;
  • Manufacturer markings;
  • Order documentation; and
  • Other relevant identification.

12. Do Not Discard the Product

If you believe a product has failed and may qualify for warranty coverage, do not discard the product before the claim has been reviewed unless Ranmar Tractor Supply confirms that retaining it is unnecessary.

The affected component may need to be photographed, inspected, returned or otherwise evaluated.

13. Do Not Return a Warranty Item Without Instructions

Customers should not automatically ship an alleged defective product back without first contacting Ranmar Tractor Supply.

The appropriate process can vary depending on product size, weight, warranty provider and type of claim.

Large or heavy machinery components may require specific freight instructions.

Please contact us first. The business address displayed on our website should not automatically be treated as the return destination for every warranty claim.

14. Inspection & Evaluation

A product may need to be inspected or otherwise evaluated before a warranty claim can be approved.

Depending on the circumstances, the review may consider:

  • Product identification;
  • Reported failure;
  • Physical condition;
  • Installation;
  • Application;
  • Evidence of misuse or external damage;
  • Modification or alteration;
  • Maintenance information where relevant; and
  • The terms of the applicable warranty.

The purpose of the review is to determine whether the reported issue falls within the applicable warranty coverage.

15. Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring that equipment components are installed appropriately for their intended application.

Where installation requires technical expertise, specialized tools, calibration or other professional knowledge, appropriately qualified assistance should be used.

Warranty coverage may not apply where damage or failure results from incorrect installation rather than a defect covered by the applicable warranty.

16. Compatibility & Incorrect Application

Customers should verify that a product is appropriate for their specific machine before installation.

Compatibility may depend on:

  • Manufacturer;
  • Model;
  • Serial number;
  • Production configuration;
  • Part number;
  • Dimensions;
  • Specifications; and
  • Intended application.

A product being genuine, new or otherwise correctly described does not mean it will fit every machine produced by the same manufacturer.

Damage caused by use in an incompatible or inappropriate application may fall outside applicable warranty coverage.

17. Normal Wear & Maintenance

Heavy machinery parts can be subject to wear during ordinary operation.

Unless expressly covered by the applicable warranty, ordinary wear, routine maintenance requirements and expected service-life consumption should not automatically be treated as manufacturing or product defects.

Customers are responsible for appropriate equipment maintenance and operation.

18. Misuse, Abuse & Improper Operation

Warranty coverage may not apply to damage resulting from circumstances outside the applicable warranty terms, including where relevant:

  • Misuse or abuse;
  • Improper installation;
  • Incorrect application;
  • Improper operation;
  • Unauthorized modification;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Improper storage;
  • Failure to perform necessary maintenance;
  • External impact or environmental damage; or
  • Use outside reasonable product specifications.

The applicability of an exclusion depends on the individual warranty and circumstances of the claim.

19. Unauthorized Modification or Repair

Material modification, disassembly or repair performed before a warranty issue is reviewed may affect the ability to evaluate the original cause of a failure.

If you believe a product has failed under warranty, contact us before undertaking substantial repair or modification whenever reasonably possible.

20. Shipping Damage Is Different From a Warranty Claim

Damage that occurs during transportation should generally be reported as a shipping issue rather than treated automatically as a product warranty failure.

If a product arrives damaged, retain the shipping packaging and take photographs of the product and packaging.

Please review our Shipping Policy and Warranty & Returns Policy .

21. Product Condition Is Different From a Defect

Characteristics consistent with the condition in which a product was accurately sold are not automatically defects.

For example, reasonable cosmetic evidence of previous use on a product clearly sold as used should be distinguished from an unexpected functional failure.

Please review our Product Condition Policy for details concerning new, surplus, used and refurbished products.

22. Warranty Remedies

Where a warranty claim is approved, the available remedy depends on the applicable warranty terms and circumstances.

Depending on those terms, an appropriate remedy may involve:

  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • Replacement of an applicable component;
  • Refund or credit where applicable; or
  • Another remedy provided by the applicable warranty.

No particular remedy should be assumed until the claim has been reviewed and the applicable warranty terms confirmed.

23. Replacement Product Availability

An identical replacement may not always be available, particularly for used, surplus, discontinued, older or hard-to-find equipment components.

Where a replacement is an applicable warranty remedy but an identical item is unavailable, the available options will depend on the warranty terms and circumstances.

24. Warranty Return Shipping

Responsibility for transportation associated with a warranty claim depends on the applicable warranty and the circumstances of the claim.

Customers should not arrange freight or return transportation before receiving instructions.

Where transportation is required, Ranmar Tractor Supply will communicate the applicable procedure after reviewing the claim.

25. Warranty vs. Standard Return

A warranty claim and a standard product return are not the same.

A warranty claim generally concerns an alleged defect or failure that may fall within applicable warranty coverage.

A standard return may involve circumstances such as an ordering error, change of purchasing decision or another issue not based on a product defect.

For standard return information, review our Warranty & Returns Policy .

26. Warranty vs. Product Authenticity

Authenticity and warranty coverage are separate matters.

A product being an original manufacturer component does not automatically establish that a particular manufacturer warranty is currently available.

Similarly, aftermarket, surplus, used and refurbished products may have warranty terms specific to the individual product.

Please review our Product Authenticity Policy .

27. Special-Order & Sourced Products

Warranty information for specially sourced products may depend on the specific product, source and terms communicated as part of the transaction.

Customers purchasing specialized or hard-to-find components should review available warranty information before approving the purchase.

28. Warranty Transferability

Whether warranty coverage can be transferred to another owner depends on the terms of the applicable warranty.

Customers should not assume that warranty rights associated with a product are automatically transferable unless the applicable terms provide for transfer.

29. Warranty Documentation

Customers should retain any warranty documents, product information, invoices and receipts supplied in connection with their purchase.

These records may be important if a warranty claim is submitted later.

30. False or Inaccurate Claims

Customers submitting a warranty claim should provide complete and accurate information about the product, installation, application and reported issue.

Providing materially inaccurate or misleading information may prevent proper evaluation of the claim.

31. Warranty Limitations

Any warranty is subject to the limitations, exclusions and conditions contained in the terms applicable to the individual product.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ranmar Tractor Supply does not extend a product-specific warranty beyond the coverage expressly applicable to that product or transaction.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
